Queen of Chaos indeed! The evil in this trilogy is astronomical (gotta love that!) but the love, loyalty and honour amid the defenders fills one with light. A thoroughly enjoyable read, from book 1 to this one. 5 stars all the way.

This second volume takes us deeper into Rowan and Logan's dilemma, and again I devoured it! I absolutely love the abilities on display here, and this time we go back in time and memory to Ireland and 'see' Calain's past and how he affects Rowan's future. Brilliant.
Aiki Flinthart has a mighty imagination and her tales are easy to read, in the sense that you don't feel as if you're reading - you are THERE amid the madness, immersed in the story. Very well done, and an absolute pleasure to read.
Recommend this to all lovers of urban fantasy and all who simply enjoy escaping reality for a time!

Rise of the Antichrist surprised me. Having read book 1 and 3, I wanted to know what happens in the middle, and this read, for me, is the most intense. Although there were funny moments, theatrical displays, and the plot is good, it’s the emotional journey this one took me on that got to me.
As twin son and daughter of Jesus, Damien and Samantha have the spotlight, and could not be more different from each other. As they grow up they also grow into the powerful personalities they will be in Holy War (book 3) and it’s quite the journey.
Then, and boy is he bad, there’s Bubba, the devil himself, and he has two surprising ‘disciples’. Let’s just say, without giving it away, those two? I bet you will want to string them up!
With joy and love, and also loss and betrayal, this is an enjoyable read, and the perfect set-up for the holy war to follow.

We are back in Estalia and another adventure unfolds for us. I’ve said it before, and I’m saying it again – Phil Williams is one of my favourite authors! He takes the reader on a wild and dangerous adventure, filled with life and death, presenting intriguing places, interesting characters, epic hide and seek situations and clever, imaginative plot twists. I found myself lost in Estalia nights in a row, unable to stop reading.
With vivid descriptions and characters you will definitely sympathise with, Aftan Whispers grabs you and hauls you in until you are IN this dystopian world and NEED to discover what happens.
I have no hesitation in giving this its 5 stars and absolutely recommend it to all Fantasy/Scifi/Dystopian fans!
