Another Bloody Christmas

Lol, that title always gets me! This year, of course, most of us are hoping that gatherings can take place, so, whether it's another bloody Christmas or not, we look forward to festivities of some kind. Still, feel the need to escape all of it? Then do grab this anthology! Eight brilliant stories with a Christmas theme, some scary, some horrifying, others saddening, and even laughter will find you :)

ANOTHER BLOODY CHRISTMAS

8 British Christmas shorts from the Wild Wolf stable to get you ready for the Holidays.

1: A Corpse for Christmas by T.K. Geering ~ While Jack the Ripper is terrorising Mitre Square, bodies are going missing too.

2: Gabriel by Elaina J Davidson ~ Old houses keep old secrets. Ivy discovers that not everyone loves Christmas as much as she does. The dude in the mirror is trying to kill her!

3: The Sins of the Season by Richard Rhys Jones ~ At a time when the gentry rule us peasants, a vicar in a remote parish has his hands full of the deadly sins. Once a druid enters the opulent halls of shame, it all gets bloody interesting.

4: Stocking Killer by Jillian Ward ~ Of all the times of the year to cheat on her man, she chooses now! Well some dude needs a lesson to keep his hands off and Dave is on it like a man possessed; it doesn’t end well for any of them.

5: Christmas Nerd by Joanne Sexton ~ Her family was brutally murdered on Christmas and this holiday is dreaded by her every year since. That's until the cute IT guy makes his move and Kaley gets to have a family Christmas for the first time in decades. The problem with good looking guys is they always have issues.

6: On the Twelfth Day of Christmas by Paul Rudd ~ Thrown back into the 80s we follow Tommy and his friends through the most treacherous board game ever created. It’s awesome, it’s ruthless, and the entire town is now dead! If a stranger tempts you to play a game for the 12 days of Christmas, you might like to reconsider.

7: The Secret of Hungry Summit Mountains by Hannah Ferguson ~ Eloise was just another girl until she was attacked by a vagrant. This one act derails her entire life, leaving her homeless, pregnant, desperate, and depressed. Getting home for Christmas didn’t even cross her mind.

8: The Whispers of Christmas by Poppet ~ Angela is living in a reality that keeps warping. She’s hearing things, has a stalker who’s gas lighting her, and is forced to get high when she goes home for Christmas. Then things get really weird.

It’s just ANOTHER BLOODY CHRISTMAS for these characters, but what the hell, we only live once.

Photo-shoot

So ... am trying to take snaps of my books (together, quite a pile) for marketing purposes, but ... lighting, positioning, um, patience! Going to get more creative with the how first before selecting 'proper' images :)

Meanwhile, here's two test pics, books chosen at random:

GABRIEL

My contribution to ANOTHER BLOODY CHRISTMAS is Gabriel. Now, who is Gabriel? An angel? Something else? One thing is sure, he is not from this time and his mode of travel is ... different. This is a creepy tale, but it's also humorous at times, a little tongue in cheek :)

Go on, have a read, and then let me know what you think about Gabriel!

The Whispers of Christmas

The final tale in ANOTHER BLOODY CHRISTMAS is an intriguing maybe-ghost-story/maybe-something-else-entirely tale - nope, not telling you! Suffice to say, all is not what it seems and it gets even weirder when trippy Christmas pudding is imbibed! This is a great story, because you keep wondering - what the hell??? Poppet delivers quite the tale in The Whispers of Christmas!

The Secret of Hungry Summit Mountains

Today we highlight Hannah Ferguson's short story in ANOTHER BLOODY CHRISTMAS! This is a harrowing tale of a young girl and a secret. When her life changes one day in the most terrible fashion - a dirty old man in an isolated place ... - there are consequences. When she is lost in the mountains after a horrific bus accident, her life changes even more ... but the consequences of all that comes to pass cannot forever be kept secret. This is a hard-hitting story, but so worth reading!

On the Twelfth Day of Christmas

On the Twelfth Day of Christmas by Paul Rudd is such a trip into the imagination that it’s, well, trippy! A group of teenagers in the 80s become embroiled in a very dangerous game and it has terrible consequences on the real world. Mr Nobody is out to get them … and everyone else too, by the looks of it. How do teenagers extricate themselves from this terror? Read ANOTHER BLOODY CHRISTMAS to find out!

A Christmas Nerd

It's time for another unveil of the stories inside the covers of ANOTHER BLOODY CHRISTMAS! This time we're talking about Joanne Sexton's A CHRISTMAS NERD, and a humdinger of a story it is.

After losing her entire family over Christmas, Kylie has a horror for the season, until she meets a really cute IT guy at her works Christmas party. This short story has a proper dash of romance in it, but it seems the serial killer is not done … there’s quite the surprising twist at the end of this … and I’m saying no more!

A Corpse For Christmas
by
T.K. Geering

Tales of Victorian times have always interested me ,and when I read the introduction I was so excited I could barely wait to read this story, and it did not disappoint. It was so authentic, with bits of history thrown in,a complete delight to read.

Gabriel
by
Elaina J. Davidson

Ivy is finally living her dream, she’s on her own having just purchased the house she has always wanted. But sometimes, things are not what they seem and sometimes things are exactly what they seem to be. Fantastic short story with the perfect amount of fear thrown in for good measure.

The Sins of the Season
by
Richard Rhys Jones

A chilling tale that had me clinging to my kindle in anticipation of the next lines written.I loved this story.

Stocking Killer
by
Jillian Ward

A case of mistaken identity saves one life and takes another. Wow,this story was intense and filled with a nice touch of mystery. I even chuckled here and there at the dialogue.
Awesome story!!!

Christmas Nerd
by
Joanne Sexton

This story was awesome, and I enjoyed every page. I loved the way it made me guess who could have committed such atrocities, and was beyond pleased with the twist at the end. Romance and horror were melded into a great tale.

On The Twelfth Day of Christmas
by
Paul Rudd

A combination of Tron ,Jumanji, The Terminator and countless other movies this book is quite an adventurous read. From start to finish,it is absolutely excellent .

The Secret of Hungry Summit Mountains
by
Hannah Ferguson

Oh what a sad story this is.
It held me in suspense and I couldn’t read fast enough . It’s a tale of how life can change in the blink of an eye. It made me appreciate what I have,it’s a reminder that not everyone is fortunate enough to have happiness. A must read.

The Whispers of Christmas
by
Poppet

This story started off so spooky,I was hooked right away. Angela’s dialogue had me laughing throughout the tale. The dynamic between Angela and her family was hilarious and rings true for lots of families. The best part is Angela solving the mystery of the wet shoe prints by her bed. I’m an avid believer in infinite realities so this story resonated deeply with me. What a joy it would be,to be able to access the right one for you.
This short story is excellent!!!

All in all I enjoyed every single story in this collection,it provided something for everyone,no matter what genre you like most, you will get a thrill from every tale told.
This collection is a must read,I highly recommend it.

Thank you, Monique, for a wonderful review!
