Review: Fear Inducer by Ellie Douglas

Fear InducerFear Inducer by Ellie Douglas
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Firstly, using phobias to create horrific scenarios? Terrible and awesome! Ellie Douglas, in Fear Inducer, delivers a cringe-worthy, skin-shuddering nightmare set-up as a doctor uses his patients’ phobias against them, everything from fear of spiders to fear of witches, fear of sharp objects to fear of dentists. And a host of strange ones, too. That, in itself, I found intriguing, the many phobias I was unaware of.

Secondly, this is truly a horror read. Seriously, every moment and every thought and every action are described in horrifying detail. I nearly choked on my coffee at one stage! And Fear Inducer was NOT the last thing I read before going to bed!

A clever set-up and well-written. A definite must for horror fans. I look forward to finding out how this doctor death gets what he deserves in the next book!
