13th Sign Ezine and Publishing Collective!

In the last few days I have been smiling ear to ear. Want to know why? We have formed an author collective, that's why! A bunch of writer friends have decided to share our expertise and experiences to benefit all of us. Under the banner of 13th Sign, we will pool knowledge and resources, as well as editing and design tasks.

On top of all this, 13th Sign will release a quarterly E-zine filled with various goodies, which every author in our collective will collaborate in! The first issue will go online in time for Halloween and will have stories, reviews, hobbies, new releases, health tips, gardening ideas and much, much more! More on that as we get closer to release day :)

Pop in and have a look! Our website is still being populated, but is looking good. Our Facebook Page is up, so do come on over and give us a Like. Follow us on Twitter, Instagram and Pinterest too!

Green eyes in a redwood

The mighty redwoods in California sparked the idea for this romance, love amid the giants!

Alayna is a hermit, for good reason. Living in the giant redwood forest away from prying eyes, her tranquility is shattered when intruders break into her home with the intention of robbing and using her.

A man with vivid green eyes is an unlikely saviour, and when they save each other their fates are sealed. Ben and Alayna have the kind of attraction which reeks of a celestial mandate. Alayna realises what Ben is, but he's too young to know his true power. Torn, Alayna sends Ben away to his true destiny, awaiting his return.

Their attraction is so visceral and overwhelming that Ben returns again and again, each time making it harder to leave the only woman who has ever ignited his soul. Alayna feels it too, because only Ben has a kiss that breaks worlds. His ethereal magnificence is so glorious that their love will leave a tear in the clouds.

Review: Death Ship

It’s the 19th Century and a new ship sets sail for Scotland. Extra hands are required to do so and some of the most notorious men come on board to help sail her. All too soon there is a murder, and then the bodies start gathering. Who is the murderer? Who will die next?

Read Death Ship to find out, if you dare! Bill Kirton has a deft hand with suspense, truly, and he will keep you guessing to the very end! Definitely worth sinking your time into.

Review: A Russian Gift of Love

An author is also a top cop, while a fireman is a sleeper agent, and these two live next door to each other. As a blizzard descends over Christmas, Vicky and Nick get together, snowed in, but clearly there are undercurrents. She should arrest him, while he needs to kill her. Love has other ideas, though.

This is a quick read, a thrilling romance, well written, an almost old-style espionage tale, but with a modern twist. Well worth it!

"...grabs you by the heart... "

Thank you!

Review: This Little Piggy (Paul Rudd)

This story is short, punchy, very well written and a warning to all the bad folk out there who think they get away with their terrible deeds.

A man regains consciousness in an abandoned warehouse with a guy in a pig mask singing ‘This little piggy …” while his toes are being severed. Instantly you know this story has got you, it got me!

An excellent, gut-twisting tale. Absolutely worth a read!

A Tear in the Clouds

Yesterday I was so excited to see a review I shared it before I even told you about my new book! A Tear in the Clouds is my first attempt at romance, but typically it also needed something more, and became a paranormal romance. It's novella length and is the perfect distraction when you only have a few hours at your disposal. Response has been excellent, and I'm very excited about it! (may have a few more up my sleeve!)

'... like matches and gasoline ..."

Thank you!

Book Review : Requel's Hell

Requel’s Hell is a big eyes, oh wow are you crazy turning off the highway, kind of story! Here is a man in a muscle car swigging beer when he realises he is lost and sees a cluster of houses out in the desert … and turns off? Madness, I tell you! And off the infamous Route 66 no less!

Right, no spoilers, but all is NOT what it seems when he gets there and realises his car won’t start. Invited to say for the night, he enters another world …

This is visceral, scary, otherworldly, pure hell and an absolute delight to read. Be prepared to be shocked a bit, but also know you are gonna want to finish it to find out what happens. Loved it, lapped it up.
